This Cookie Policy explains how Boyan Georgiev, operating as Studioscope ("we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit studioscope.app (the "Website") or use the Studioscope Service.
This policy explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control their use. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
3. Why We Use Cookies
3.1 Strictly Necessary
These are essential for the Service to work and are set whenever you use it. They cover:
- Signing you in and keeping you signed in (Supabase Auth)
- Completing an OAuth sign-in securely
- Identifying which studio a request belongs to
- Access to a specific password-protected share link
- Anti-abuse checks on sign-in and password forms
These do not require your consent, because without them the Service cannot do what you asked it to do.
3.2 Preferences
These remember a choice you made in the interface — a collapsed sidebar, a light or dark theme, a list density. They are set only because you changed the setting, they hold no identifier, and they are never used to build a profile of you. Under UK and EU rules, storage limited to remembering a user-interface choice you made does not require separate consent.
3.3 Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights on our public marketing pages only — never inside a studio or a client portal. Neither uses cookies or any other storage on your device, and neither can follow you to another website. Speed Insights records no visitor identifier at all; Web Analytics counts a visit using a hash derived from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours.
3.4 Embedded Video
Some articles include a YouTube video. The video does not load until you press play — until then the page shows a still image served from our own servers, and nothing is requested from Google. Pressing play loads the player, which may then store data on your device under Google's own terms. That choice is yours to make, per video.
5. Advertising, Tracking, and Why There Is No Cookie Banner
We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party marketing or profiling tags. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising.
You have not been asked to accept cookies because there is nothing to ask about: everything we store on your device is either strictly necessary for the Service or a record of a preference you set yourself, and both are exempt from consent under UK PECR and the EU ePrivacy Directive. The one exception is embedded YouTube video, which is why it waits for you to press play rather than loading on its own.
If we ever introduce advertising, cross-site tracking, or analytics that store data on your device, we will ask for your consent before it loads and update this policy first.
